Patent-pending Next Generation of Leaf Cutting Technology
An especially time-efficient method of leaf management through the next generation of leaf cutting and leaf management technology available for licensing or acquisition.
Collection and disposal times can be cut by up to 75%. The reduced volume is also easier on landfills, when the cut leaves are disposed of in that fashion.
- The next generation technology reduces leaf cutting noise levels addressing local noise-related bans against leaf blowers, particularly gas-powered ones used in residential neighborhoods. This new technology is approximately 30 times quieter than a current standalone leaf shredder.
- U.S. Environmental Protection Agency recently introduced exhaust emissions standards that will start to take effect in 2011 and 2012 for small spark-ignition engines such as those used in lawn and garden equipment.
- The leaf management technology also addresses state and local level to bans of yard waste disposal at landfills and supports the option of individual or community composting.

Desired Commercialization Relationship
The owner of the technology is seeking one or more partners who can help to bring this technology to relevant vertical markets in both the U.S. and abroad. The partner or partners will have capabilities in areas including product development, manufacturing, marketing, distribution and sales and administration, and will have or be able to obtain sufficient capital to support a timely and meaningful rollout of products using the technology.
Our client is open to a variety of options for structuring consideration for the use or purchase of the technology. The client is a going research and development concern and funds development projects out of cash flow from its intellectual property portfolio.

Sell garden & pond supplies to wholesale/retailers from company head office, showroom, trade shows, etc. Responsible for all aspects of customer relationship management for current and targeted Mass Merchant customers in the Northwest / Pacific region. Responsible for achieving the annual sales targets assigned to specific markets as well as the development of new markets.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Travel throughout assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers
- Talk with vendors and/or customers by telephone or in showroom to answer questions
- Display or demonstrate product using sample; catalog; or show room presentation
- Estimate and communicate date of delivery to customer
- Prepare reports of business transactions, customers concerns
- Attend and manage trade show/s, as assigned
- Complete and submit travel expenses for reimbursement on a weekly basis
- Quote prices and credit terms and prepares sales contracts for orders obtained
- Use discretion when selling to customers ensuring credit worthiness
- Notify collectors, supervisor and owners of customer status. i.e. Good season, out of business or other facts pertinent to collection activities
- Provide coverage to Customer Service Department during absences, peak periods, training sessions etc.
- Perform other responsibilities assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
Education and Work Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, or similar field.
- Seven to ten years of sales experience in related markets (Retail, L&G, Patio, or Seasonal).
Certificates, Licenses and / or Registrations
Others
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office required
- Willingness to spend about 25% of time in travel
- Ability to relocate
